Susan Weiner, Executive Director

Susan began her career at Lesley College in Cambridge, MA graduating with a degree in Elementary and Special Education. She worked for a private early childhood program in Salem, MA for three years after graduation before taking on a Special Education classroom in the Malden Public School system. While working at the Lincoln Elementary School in Malden she was approached by her Congregation, Temple Tifereth Israel of Malden, to build and implement an Early Childhood program. Working with the State of MA’s Office for Children division she built a preschool program from the ground up. During this time she went on to complete the requirements needed to obtain Early Childhood Director certification through the State of Massachusetts. Once completed she was asked to direct the new school and additionally offered the position of Religious School Director and with both positions became the first Education Director of Temple Tifereth Israel, a position she held for seven years.

Then taking her background in education to another level by working at the Mayan Book Company as an administrative assistant and curriculum advisor, eventually being promoted to manager of the Religious School book division. She then went on to work at Temple Emanu-El in Marblehead as an administrative assistant for the Temple at large and the Religious School, a position she held for over 13 years. Looking to get back into management she accepted the position of Executive Director at Temple Sinai five years ago.

In addition to her professional work, Susan has been a life member of Hadassah since 1998. In 1996 she received the Woman of the Year award for her dedication and work in the chapter. She was an active volunteer at Cohen Hillel Academy in Marblehead where her daughter attended for nine years. Deeply committed to Congregational life, she has be actively involved in her Congregation, assuming many volunteer roles and stepping in where the need has been great. Susan is married to Lawrence “Larry” Weiner for 33 years. They have one daughter, Elana Ashley Weiner, who is currently studying at the Pardes Institute in Israel for the last two years.


Margaret Gatterman, Graphic Designer / Administrative Assistant

Margaret is a Salem resident with a background in Illustration from the Massachusetts College of Art and Design and is currently working towards a Graphic Design degree. She enjoys giving back to the community, comics, plenair painting, instrument creation, music, and spending time with her dogs.
Her primary responsibilities are creating & producing printed collateral, social media, and greeting visitors & congregants of Temple Sinai.



Carl Bradshaw, Bookkeeper

Carl has resided for the last 30 years in Marblehead with his wife Jodie. He enjoys boating in the local waters when not handling bookkeeping duties for several organizations.


Robert Myra, Facilities

Robert “Bob” Myra has been part of the Temple Sinai family for the past 20 years. He is our go-to person for anything building and facilities.
